Government Awards IT Framework
Agreement To CSA Waverley
Buying Solutions, the national procurement
partner for UK public services, has awarded IT infrastructure specialist
CSA Waverley a place on the Commoditised IT Hardware and Software framework
agreement to supply infrastructure hardware (Lot 2) to the public sector.
The news confirms CSA Waverley’s official status as supplier to the public
sector on Buying Solutions’ new IT procurement framework which runs for
three and half years.
The Buckinghamshire business underwent a rigorous tender process to secure its position on the framework and is one of only 13 suppliers who made the grade in Lot 2.
CSA Waverley’s inclusion by Buying Solutions demonstrates that an SME – rather than just large corporates - can provide the quality and standards demanded by the Government in public sector contracts.
The news builds on CSA Waverley’s specialist
heritage of supplying IT infrastructure and related services to the NHS
for 27 years, a credential that has seen it work with Connecting for Health,
implementing 2000 server migrations with 100% service delivery.
The business has a proven track record of helping public sector organisations
meet efficiency demands with creative, value-driven solutions to improve
IT infrastructure, storage and Disaster Recovery systems, amongst others,
by becoming a united extension to any in-house team.
Many of CSA Waverley’s approaches reuse and recycle existing IT coupled with deployment of leading edge and emerging technologies to stretch the reach of budgets, meet demands for greening IT and facilitate delivery of improved services. The business also brings over 20 years of specialist HP related skills amidst its broad solutions offer.
The company’s creative technical expertise
recently helped Dorset NHS Foundation Trust to consolidate and virtualise
its server and storage infrastructure by 67% after identifying a critical
need to free up data centre space and power, reducing annual energy costs
by 74% in the process.
CSA Waverley Managing Director, Andy Boyle, said: “We are renowned for
our hands-on technical approach across many specialist areas and this
is a tremendous win for us.
“It builds on our 27 year heritage of delivering end-to-end IT infrastructure alongside service excellence within the most challenging and complex NHS sector.
“Our public sector experience has broadened considerably over the last few years, as has our work within the private sector, and we now look forward to exceeding expectations of value and technical delivery through the Buying Solutions framework.
Chris Cliffe, Senior Project Manager at Buying Solutions said:
“Buying Solutions welcomes the inclusion
of SME’s onto this framework agreement; it is encouraging to see that
such companies can compete and be successful in highly competitive trading
conditions. We look forward to working with all suppliers to deliver cost
effective IT procurement solutions to customers across government and
the UK public sector.”
